Participants will be able to:

  • Define African Centered Play Therapy

  • Evaluate Directive and Non Directive Play Therapy and Techniques

  • Describe the limitations of Play Therapy

  • Identify and apply the Principles of African-Centered Play Therapy

  • Explain the progression of African-Centered Play Therapy

  • Evaluate 4 African-Centered Play Therapy interventions to use with children and families of African Descent

CE INFORMATION:

  • APT Approved Provider #24-731

  • African Centered Play Therapy, Course #5008, is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program to be offered by Playful Minds Therapy as an individual course. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE course approval period: 07/25/2023 - 07/25/2025. Social workers completing this course receive 6 total credits including 3 general and 3 cultural competence continuing education credits.

This space is affirming, creative, and grounded in healing.
