Does My Child Need Therapy?

I believe every single person can benefit from therapy. Who wouldn’t want a person bound by law to hold all their secrets and give them undivided attention weekly?! But really, the guidance of a professional on the difficulties of everyday life is something that would be beneficial for all. Therapy is a way to process challenges with an unbiased person working specifically towards your goals and healing. Doesn’t that sound amazing?!

When you are navigating the world as a child, there is so much unknown. Having a place to process is extremely important for children. Especially when the fear of punishment or restrictions sometimes control how children navigate their lives.

So, does your child have to display outrageous behavior or emotional challenges to have therapy? Nope. But it definitely can help if they do as well =)

Therapy helps children experiencing sadness, anxiety or worry, troubles in school, grief, trauma, or just trouble adjusting with life’s changes.

If you have trouble connecting with your child or feel that your child has emotions or concerns they need to address in a trusted space, therapy may be the option. Maybe even just parent consultation to assist on ways to better connect with your child.

Therapy is for everyone. If you think your child may benefit from therapy, give us a call. Let’s chat about it!
